Pet Insurance Coverage
Understanding your reimbursement options for end-of-life care.
Pet Insurance Coverage Guide
Navigating pet insurance during a difficult time shouldn't be stressful. Here is what you need to know about end-of-life care coverage.
Does Insurance Cover In-Home Euthanasia?
Yes, the vast majority of comprehensive pet insurance plans (such as Trupanion, Nationwide, Healthy Paws, and Embrace) cover veterinary euthanasia as long as it is a medical necessity and the condition is not considered a pre-existing exclusion on your specific policy.
What About Travel Fees & Cremation?
While the medical procedure (euthanasia) is typically covered, many policies do not cover the house-call/travel fee or the aftercare (cremation) costs. Certain premium plans or add-on riders will cover aftercare. Please review your specific policy documents or call your provider directly.
Our Direct Billing Policy
Pet Home Euthanasia Service requires payment directly from you at the time of service. However, upon completion of the visit, we will immediately provide you with a fully itemized medical invoice signed by Dr. Soliman. You can seamlessly upload this invoice to your insurance portal for reimbursement.
