Aftercare Options

Remembering Your Beloved Pet

Once your pet has passed, you'll have a few options to choose from for their aftercare. Many pet owners choose to keep a memento or keepsake to remember their pet by, while others would like to keep the ashes or have their pet buried. Please take a look at the pet cremation and aftercare options below to see which will fit your needs best. You can also view our pricing details or learn more about our in-home euthanasia process.

Individual Service

Private Cremation

A private cremation means that your pet will be cremated alone and the ashes will be returned to you in a personalized cedar box along with a clay paw print.

It will take about two to three weeks for the ashes to be returned to you. Please keep in mind that it is very important that you provide us with all your contact information to ensure the proper return of your pet's ashes.

  • Ashes returned in personalized cedar box
  • Clay paw print included

Group Service

Communal Cremation

This is also referred to as a group cremation. Your pet's body will be handled with the same respect and care as in the private cremation.

A Communal Cremation means that your pet will be cremated along with other pets and that the ashes will not be returned to you. You can still get a fur clipping and clay paw print upon your request.

Please let us know what your desires are at the end of your euthanasia appointment so that we can provide you with what you need to remember your pet best.

Making Your Own Arrangements

You may request that your pet's body be left with you after their euthanasia. If you are planning on burying your pet, make sure that you inquire about the regulations of the city or town you live in.

Some city ordinances prohibit the burial of a pet's body in your backyard. Please check with your local regulations before making this decision.
